Parton-Huskey-Knight and more?

One question why is John Richard Parton's father's last name different from his? He certainly had a lot of wives.
He was born out of wedlock. His father was James Madison "Beasley" Maples who was in the Civil War. The whole sordid is on here is old posts. Sarah Evans was the daughter of Richard Evans ( not a minister as Smokykin.com has him) and Katherine/Catherine Emert. Sarah Evans married Albert Huston Parton, son of Moses Parton and Mary Jane Hasley/Horsly. He and she had many children. He left her ( probably both he an she share the blame). The Maples was a neighbor and had been the Civil War along with her husband. He was married to one of my King cousins and had a large family. He loved women. He had children by the "grass widow," Sarah Evans, and the kids by her went by Parton. She and Albert Huston's oldest daughter had one child out of wedlock. The daughter had kids by by James Madison Beasley. Her daughter got up to be at least a teenager, and Maples's wife had died. He married Sarah Evans and Albert Huston Parton's granddaughter. So the mother had children by the Maples. Her oldest Parton daughter had children by him, and he married and had chilren by the granddaughter (who was not related to him.) It's a sordid story. Sherry Whaley can help you find the old posts on here. There are many. Sevierville's King Library (Tim Fisher ) could make you a copy of for cost and shipping of James Madison Maples's Civil War Pension application. All of the above and much more is in it. Albert Huston Parton who left here dropped his last name and became Albert Huston in Harland County, KY . I am the one who found him, when his own children and descendants did not know what happened to him. After Sarah Evans died, he applied from Sevier County, Tennessee, as a Parton, doesn't mention the wife and kids in KY. He had his pension sent to Knoxville, TN, to a lawyer Parton relative, and they sent it on to him in Harlan County, KY. We have a photo on here that I found on the Harlan County Genweb site, of Civil War Union Veterans, and there sat good looking, Albert Huston (Parton!) Sherry Whaley has a great tree and can help you work on this tree. After he got a divorce from the Parton, he married one of my kids' widowed ancestors, Mary Ann McMahan Dixon. She left him over his infidelities. She may be the only woman in the United States who got half her husband's pension while he was still alive!
Sarah Evans Parton's marriage to Albert Huston Parton is from a family Bible, transcript was in the James Madison Maples pension inquiry folder. married Jan 1858. I have copies of the Bible Record if I can find them. It may give the day, but if so I haven't entered it in my tree. Sarah had written some of her children by James Madison Maples in pencil in her parents' family Bible to try to make it look like they were children of Albert Huston Parton because they went by Parton, but were really Maples.

I still have some questions and will update when and if I find the answers.
A different Parton family
[S84] E-Mail, Jerry Black [shadow700076@yahoo.com], 23 Jan 2012.
John Parton born 10-17-1754 Southwarke Parish, Surry County, Virginia
Father John Parton
died 8-11-1846 Union Point, Greene County, Georgia
Mother Mary Hewitt
1st wife not known ar this time
2nd wife Talitha Price born 1786 Richland County, South Carolina
marriage date 3-31-1807 Richland County, South Carolina obtained from Price decendent
Sources: Land, court, & church records Surry County, Virginia
Records out of Rowan County, North Carolina
Richland County, South Carolina marriage records
Records out of Greene County, Georgia
1840 Geene County, Georgia Census
The Surry families around 1760 started moving south including John.s father and mother. They died in Halifax County, North Carolina John's 1st wife was out of what now is Rowan County, North Carolina and some records though scant indicate she died form complications from childbirth having Moses in 1805. No name yet only 1 notation but did not show her name.
Census records show John living alone and widowed age 91 in Union Point, Georgia in1840. Union Point was orignally called Scruggsville. Records fom Georgia indicate Talitha died in 1839 but not solid.
We have traced the line to Richard Parton 1523 & Emaline Richardson 1525, Wem, Shropshire, England. It is one of the oldest lines in the U.S. coming through Isle of Wight, Virginia
This is a different Parton family that gets connected in error with John Parton of Tennessee.
[S47] Sevier County, Tennessee and its Heritage, Sevier County Heritage Book Committee, (1994, Don Mills, Inc.), 305.
Believed to have died in Greene County, Tennessee.
